I first made these cooling neck wraps after spending a full day out in the hot California sun filming my scene for a TV miniseries called "Little Fires Everywhere" (I am the cop who kicks Kerry Washington out of the parking lot early in episode 1).
That day was brutally hot, and between takes, the film crew was doing everything they could to stay cool. Someone found a bed sheet and started ripping strips, dunking into a cooler of cold water, and handing out so crew could wrap the wet fabric around necks, legs, foreheads, etc. It only lasted a few minutes before they had to take them off and dunk back into the water to try again.
That night, I went home and made a few of these, and I have to say they do work well. The water beads inside hold the moisture and keep you cool for hours.
There are 2 options: One that wraps with magnets (better for necks), and the other to tie closed (better for foreheads).
Enjoy!
